Thanks to my budding relationship with SNN Network CEO, Bobby Kraft, I have been asked to be a keynote speaker at the upcoming Summer Virtual Event. I will be sharing the virtual stage with investors such as Guy Spier and the host of The Chicks of Fintwit podcast, Caitlin Cook. Just as a preview, the topic of the presentation will be the valuable lessons I have learned over the last decade at Cove Street. Some of them may be obvious if you have read any of the Small Cap PLUS letters over the years—while others might be more surprising.

Also, for the first time ever, the content of a meeting of the 10-K Club of Southern California will be shared with a broader audience. What started as a group of 5 guys sitting on a couch and talking about stocks, has blossomed into a group that has 175-plus members. Pre-COVID, we used to meet regularly to discuss the wonderful world of investing but since early last year, all of the meetings have been virtual. Given the change in venue, we thought, why not invite the rest of the investing world to listen in on one of our discussions? So, in conjunction with the SNN event, there will be a distinguished panel of 10-K Club members discussing their most contrarian investment takes for a post-COVID world.
