We are all constrained by our 24 hour bio-rhythm to some degree. We all have cellphones. We all face unwanted downtime – like waiting at the carwash. “We” want to be intellectually curious about “change” but like to stay within a sphere of competence. All of which accounts for how I ran across a Substack piece by the Petition People, who write about the world of distressed investing and credit. I don’t know them. But, as the kids say these days, they possess a certain amount of style, panache and 4 letter words to stand out in the clutter. And this piece represents work I sure as hell don’t want to do myself, but I was riveted by the addition to mental incomprehension to what is happening in parts of the world today: crypto, meme, NFT, SPAC, stupid.
