Cove Street is pleased to announce that its new podcast, Compounders: The Anatomy of a Multibagger, will officially be launched on August 3rd. The podcast is hosted by Cove Street Partner and Portfolio manager, Ben Claremon, and is being developed in conjunction with the SNN Network. The format consists of interviews with public company CEOs about how they have been able to compound shareholders’ wealth over a long period of time. The goal is to allow listeners to be a fly on the wall for the exact conversations that Cove Street has with company management teams as a part of its due diligence process. Within these discussions, we hope to develop a holistic understanding of why these companies have been so successful, by focusing on capital allocation as well as on softer factors such as culture.

We have a great roster of guests scheduled for Season 1. The expectation is to have at least 10 episodes but given the initial success of our outreach, there could be as many as 15 shows. The following represents the preliminary list of company leaders as well as the release schedule:

8/3: Trailer episode for the Compounders podcast
8/10: CEO of a Fortune 500 insurance company
8/17: CEO of another Fortune 500 insurance company
8/24: CEO of a $1B+ market cap financial services company
8/31: CEO of a Latin American wireless and broadband company
9/7: Founder of a $4B+ market cap waste management company
9/14: Chairman of a global satellite communications company
9/21: CEO of sub-$1B market cap environmental services company

We expect to announce more interviews in the very near future.
