A very long time ago, the author was the first outside columnist for TheStreet.com, which in its early days had a terrific set of people lured from “Print” to give this online news thing a go.

Oddly, this piece re-emerged from an online search to look at what people were “saying” just before the 2000 tech crash.  Despite a few cringe-worthy statements of youth, it remains astounding how one can repeat oneself for decades.
